Cham

Damian Beckett, a dancehall singer known professionally as Cham, was born on February 24, 1977 in Jamaica. From Saint Andrew Parish, Cham entered the music scene in the early 1990s, initially performing under the moniker Baby Cham. He released his first album, Wow: The Story, in 2000, followed by Ghetto Story in 2006, reaching number 53 on the U.S. charts and solidifying his crossover appeal. Cham subsequently signed with Atlantic Records and collaborated with prominent artists such as Foxy Brown, Alicia Keys, and Rihanna, expanding his reach into hip‑hop and R&B markets. His other albums include Team Cham (2012), Lawless (2017), and Time Bomb (2023) with Bounty Killer.
