BabyTron

BabyTron is the stage name of James Johnson III, an American rapper known for his solo output as well as his membership in the hip-hop group ShittyBoyz. He was born on June 6, 2000, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and met his two ShittyBoyz collaborators, StanWill and TrDee, while attending Ypsilanti Lincoln High School. The group began creating rap songs filled with sports references and tongue-in-cheek nods to pop-culture. BabyTron's popularity on social media turned him into the ShittyBoyz leader, and he began releasing solo recordings while maintaining his membership in the group. The first of these, Different Breed, was a mixtape that arrived in 2017, followed by Bin Reaper in 2019 and a trio of releases — Pre-Game, Sleeve Nash, and Back to the Future — in 2020. One year later, he appeared on Lil Yachty's Michigan Boy Boat, which charted at Number 39 on the Billboard 200 and Number 21 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Lil Yachty returned the favor by appearing on BabyTron's mixtape, Bin Reaper 2, that same year. MegaTron, BabyTron's first full-length album, followed in March 2022. A second full-length record, Bin Reaper 3: Old Testament, was released in October of that same year, reaching Number 69 on the Billboard 200. His third LP, Bin Reaper 3: New Testament, arrived in January 2023.
