Nathan Allen is a contemporary jazz saxophonist from Ontario, Canada. Nathan began exploring the world of musical performance when he was just old enough to walk. His father taught him how to read and perform music first on the piano and then on the guitar. Later at the age of 11, he had the opportunity to pick up a saxophone.
Nathan's sound is influenced by many smooth and versatile saxophonists like Grover Washington Jr., Kirk Whalum, and Michael Lington to name a few. He has received training from Eric Marienthal, Bob Reynolds, and Walter Beasley. He has also studied under Kelly Jefferson and Lorne Lofsky at York University in Toronto, Ontario.
