Pop quartet Machineheart formed in Los Angeles, California in 2014. Founded by female vocalist Stevie Scott and Tacoma, Washington transplants Carman Kubanda (guitar), Jake Randle (bass), and Harrison Allen (drums). The band’s early cover versions of popular songs by The 1975 and Katy Perry brought them attention, but the release of their first digital single, “Circles” (featuring Vanic), became a commercial success. They followed that single with the release of the digital EP In Your Dreams, in July of the same year (which included “Circles”). Between 2016 and 2019, they released a series of digital singles including “Speak in Tongues”, “Shelter”, “Do You Love”, “Overgrown”, and “Altar”. They also released the EP Cruel World. The band signed with Nettwerk Records and released their debut album, People Change, in 2019.
