Ren

Choi Min-gi, professionally known as Ren and born on November 3, 1995, in Busan, South Korea, is a South Korean singer, actor, and television personality. Ren's journey began when he auditioned for Pledis Entertainment in 2010 and earned a spot with the agency. Before his official debut, he appeared as a backup dancer in After School Blue's “Wonder Boy” in 2011 and in 2012, Ren, along with four other Pledis Boys, made his debut in the boy band NU'EST, where he served as a sub-vocalist. In 2017, Ren took part in the competition show Produce 101 Season 2 under his full name, aiming for a chance to debut in Wanna One. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the final episode, securing the 20th position. Following the show's conclusion, he and the remaining NU'EST members formed the sub-group NU'EST W. From 2020 to 2021, Ren ventured into other entertainment mediums, co-hosting the radio show To.Night with his bandmate Aron and making his theatre debut, performing the lead role in Everybody's Talking About Jamie in 2020 and Hedwig and the Angry Inch in 2021. Following the disbandment of NU'EST in 2022, Ren signed with BPM Entertainment and embarked on a solo career and on June 15, 2023, Ren made his solo debut with the extended play Ren'dezvous, which featured the lead single “Ready to Move.” The EP reached number 11 on the Korean charts.
