Hiënaz was formed in 2015 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, by long time friends who decided to start a band based on their mutual taste for raw, stimulating and heavy music.
The group, formed by Flävio Fornetti (vocals, guitar), Pëter Kerr (guitar), Dü Prado (bass) and Tömmy Omarsson (drums), released their first LP, "Ulular", in November, 2019. The debut piece is a mix of striking riffs, heaviness, groove and melodies with a peculiar punch, influenced by Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Mastodon, Alice in Chains, Corrosion of Conformity, Black Label Society, among others.
In 2020 Dü and Flävio left the band, being replaced by Felipe Dhëlomme (bass) and Julio Cëzar (vocals, guitar) in a new phase - promising to keep the band's heavy, psychedelic and creative sound.
