The Swellers, a punk band from Flint, Michigan, was formed in 2002 by brothers Nick and Jonathan Diener, along with Nate Lamberts. The group's initial lineup recorded a three-song demo and played their first show at the Flint Local 432 in Flint, Michigan. After several lineup changes, they released their debut EP Beginning of the End Again in 2005. This was followed by signing to Search and Rescue Records and a Midwestern/Canadian leg of the Vans Warped Tour that summer. In 2007, they released their full-length album, My Everest. Throughout their career, The Swellers toured extensively, supporting acts such as Paramore and Less Than Jake. They released several albums, such as Ups and Downsizing (2009), Good for Me (2011), and The Light Under Closed Doors (2013). The band announced their breakup on June 24, 2014, performing farewell shows in February and March 2015. In 2024, The Swellers released the compilation album B-sides and Rarities on streaming platforms.
