"HUSSAAH!" - Those who have seen them live before already know it; the rest will love it. This is how the five guys of May the Tempest from Munich tune-up before every gig, with their hands, crossed. It won't get any swirlier than that!
May The Tempest (Lucci // Shouts, Jonas//Guitar+Clean Vocals, Andi//Guitar, Patrick//Drums, and Roley//Bass) have been touring regionally, as well as nationally with their debut EP "Siren" (October 2015 ). Followed by the single "Bitter Taste" (Summer 2016), they toured the Baltic States with us-metalcore legend "Miss May I" (Summer 2018).
With their current singles "Different" (February 2020), "Ghost" (March 2020), and "Nowhere" (August 2020), they played a sold-out headlining show at Munich's Backstage Werk in the summer of 2020 in strict compliance with all hygiene regulations. They also had the opportunity to support german metalcore giants "Annisokay" on the summer stage of Munich's Olympic Stadium.
With the fourth single, "Clouds", you get the first foretaste of the long-awaited debut album "Rise To Remain".
"Rise To Remain" tells of the moral abyss of a relationship, its end, and its aftermath; An emotional chaos reflected not only lyrically but also musically. This anarchy of emotions is reflected in the verses' brute force in interplay with the emotionally charged choruses, which is not infrequently underpinned by melancholic strings and synths.
The processing of loss and the acceptance of change opens up new paths and runs through the entire work.
Through the DIY production of "Rise To Remain" at "McGallagher Recordings" (Roley // Bass), "May The Tempest" show themselves from a very personal side and leaves the listener hoping for more.
"Rise To Remain" will be released on Mar 19th, 2021.
