Grupo Recluta, hailing from Mexicali and formed in October 2014, has quickly made a name for themselves in the norteño music scene. Led by vocalist and primary songwriter Manuel Rodelo, the group also features Daniel Cortez on bass, Carlos Martínez on accordion, Fernando Beltrán on bajo sexto, and Alejandro García on drums. Ever since releasing their first studio album Sello in 2017, they’ve dropped over a dozen releases, delivering hits like "Hablando Claro," "El Ilegal," "De Boca en Boca," and "Se Fue La Pantera," which have collectively earned over 500 million streams. Known initially for their mastery of corridos, Grupo Recluta has recently demonstrated their ability to diversify their sound, embracing new styles while maintaining their norteño roots. Their relentless dedication to creating authentic and engaging music has earned them a strong following, positioning them as one of the most exciting acts to watch in the norteño genre today. Staying true to their prolific output, Grupo Recluta delivered four full-length releases in 2023 - the live LPs Arriba el Calorón and Bienvenidos a Casa, and the studio albums Pisando Fuerte and 1X1. 2024 saw the release of the single "Mejores Tiempos," which made it to the Top 40 of the Regional Mexican Airplay charts. That year, Grupo Recluta dropped the album Sin Censura, a 12-track album featuring guest appearances by Javier Rosas y Su Artillería Pesada, Los Chavalos de la Perla, and Tapy Quintero.
