Jose Promis was born in Chile, grew up in the U.S. and now lives in Berlin. He is an international singer/songwriter who has released eleven albums of original music and one German film soundtrack. His first seven albums were released as Promis, then two as the duo Promis & Matthews, and finally his latest projects as Jose Promis. He lived many years in Los Angeles where he worked at various music related jobs and hosted piano bar nights. He always looked to Europe, its different cultures and its tradition of chansons for inspiration. In 2016 he moved permanently to Berlin to compose for cabaret and nightclub shows and further develop his own projects.
