Mastering the art of the perfect pop song can be a lifelong quest. Some never get there. Lisa Pac has gotten pretty far. Across just a couple of singles since debuting in 2017, the Vienna-based singer, songwriter and producer has garnered several million Spotify streams, toured Europe and gained support from some of the unlikeliest places.
Returning to Vienna after studying in London, Lisa Pac released her first single "What Did You Call Me?", she established the brand of pop she's been known for since: a fresh, international sound combined with authentic, relatable lyrics and her playful, instantly recognizable voice. "My ambition is definitely to make sounds that are competitive on an international scale but with a twist". That twist being the raspy touch in her otherwise crystal clear singing voice and "a little more filth or edge" than your average pop song.
Lyrically, Lisa's songs deal with personal experiences she condenses into songs. "It's a bit like sharing my diary with the world", she reveals. "I'm simply processing things I'm going through." Speaking of which: how does she see herself? "Well, I hope I'm not an absolute bore", she laughs. "I definitely have a positive outlook on life, at least I'm always trying to. Otherwise... I love doing yoga. I love my cat. And I'm pretty good at cooking frozen lasagna, if that counts for something?"
Currently, Lisa Pac is putting the finishing touches on new music scheduled for a release in spring.
