Hailing from Normandy, YOU SAID STRANGE are an indie rock band who play psych-rock, shoegaze and proto-grunge.
Their songs and albums are inspired by their human experiences and their relationship with the world. It's the work of passionate musicians, combining the dazzling power of instruments and the union of voices to create a fusion of melancholy and energy.
Through powerful, reverberant and melodious music, YOU SAID STRANGE uses spiritual metaphors to invite us to reflect on how we function in our human relationships and personal achievements. It touches on themes of love, self-confidence, betrayal and disillusionment.
It is also the result of European and American tours, meetings and collaborations with enthusiasts like themselves, such as Peter G. Holmstrom (@The Dandy Warhols), Daniel J. Goodwin (Kevin Morby, The National, This Is The Kit, ...) and Kevin Cole (KEXP).
Their latest EP "TRADE YOUR SOUL" concludes the overall "Thousand Shadows (Vol.1 & Vol.2)" project with previously unreleased and bonus tracks. The band introduces new elements and experimentation to create a striking musicality that captures life's most intense emotions and offers hope.
The power of their music is also evident on stage, where YOU SAID STRANGE is spontaneous in its embodiment.
