Boston-based pop act, UTurn, was formed in 2004 by a group of friends, founder Alyson Bauer, Andrew Hawthorne, Bailey Richardson, and Justin Harrison. They competed on the regional TV singing competition, New England’s Teen Superstar, and became the first winners. They added four more people to the band, Worcester resident Riley Brown, former 4Gurlz member Stacie Morales, and former The Pushers members Amanda Hillel and Derrick Armstrong. They went on to release worldwide hits, such as “Addicted to You,” “Zero Degrees,” and “Dying Love.” After releasing seven albums, seven world tours, and a hit series, “The Delinquents,” UTurn disbanded in 2015.
