The Bishops is a British indie rock band from London, England, formed in 2002. The group's lineup included twins Mike and Pete Bishop, along with drummer Chris McConville. The band members began their career by gigging regularly on the London scene between 2002 and 2005, developing a distinctive harmony vocal sound inspired by early 1960s influences. In 2007, the group released its self-titled debut album, The Bishops, which featured the singles “The Only Place I Can Look Is Down” (2006) and “Breakaway” (2006). The band toured extensively, supporting acts such as The Fratellis and Plan B. Its second album, For Now, was released in 2009, with the opening track “City Lights” (2008) becoming Number 1 on Berlin's Radio eins station. In 2010, the group released the EP Sojourn. In 2013, the trio released its third album, All Lost Time, marking a return to the original three-piece lineup after the departure of Alex Bishop. The band also released the single “Polygonn / All Points In Between” (2014).
