Majical Cloudz was a Canadian electronic music project formed in 2010 by Devon Welsh and Matt Otto. The duo originated from Montreal. Welsh initially collaborated with Matthew E. Duffy on early releases such as Earth to a Friend/Mountain Eyes. After releasing their debut album, II, in 2011, Otto joined the group. In May 2013, they released their second album, Impersonator, via Matador Records and was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize. Their third album, Are You Alone?, was released in 2015 and nominated for a Juno Award. The group disbanded in March 2016 with Are You Alone? as their final release.
