Kevin Mallon is an Irish conductor and violinist born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He studied at St. Malachy's College, the Chetham School of Music, and the Royal Northern College of Music. Mallon served as concertmaster for Le Concert Spirituel and Les Arts Florissants in Paris and conducted the Irish Baroque Orchestra. In 1993, he moved to Canada to join the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra. Mallon established the Aradia Ensemble in 1996 and recorded for the Naxos label until 2011. His recordings included Ballet Music for the Sun King (1998) and the symphonies of William Boyce. He led the Toronto Chamber Orchestra and became the musical director of the Thirteen Strings Chamber Orchestra in 2010. Mallon received Gramophone Editor's Choice Awards in 2005 and 2006 and a Juno Award nomination in 2009. He composed music for the television series Camelot.
