Darkwood Dub was a Serbian alternative rock band formed in Belgrade in 1988. Their debut recordings, "Veliki duh" ("The Great Spirit") and "Srećna glava" ("Happy Head"), were released in 1991 on the compilation Želim jahati do ekstaze. The band's first studio album, Paramparčad (Splinters), was produced by Željko Božić and released in 1994. Darkwood Dub gained prominence with their second album, U nedogled (Into the Indefinite) (1996), which featured notable tracks like "Treći Vavilon" ("The Third Babylon") and "Hej! Gringo" ("Hey! Gringo"). Their 1997 self-titled album introduced dub and drum and bass elements. The band's mainstream success came with Elektropionir (Electropioneer) (1999). Darkwood Dub released their final album, Vidimo Se, in 2011. The band disbanded in 2017 after releasing eight studio albums.
