Erika Stucky, born in 1962 in San Francisco, is an American-Swiss jazz singer and accordionist. Stucky began her musical journey by participating in traditional folk groups and performing in comedies such as Hair. In 1985, she founded the a cappella group The Sophisticrats, which performed over 500 concerts across Europe and Africa. She later collaborated with various artists, including Marco Raoult for the quartet Bubble-Town and the George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band. Stucky's notable albums include Love Bites (2003), Princess (2005), and Black Widow (2013). She also participated in projects like the Jimi Hendrix Project and Raindogs Revisited, an homage to Tom Waits. In 2020, she received the Swiss Grand Prix from the Swiss Federal Office of Culture.
