Ben Klock, born in 1972 in West Berlin, Germany, is a German techno disc jockey and record producer. From an early age, he was drawn to music, learning the piano during his childhood and later experimenting with cassette recordings alongside his brother. He began his professional career mixing various electronic genres, including jungle, trip-hop, drum and bass, house, and techno. In 1998, he released his debut EP, Clockworks EP, on the Sonar Kollektiv label. His breakthrough occurred when he became a resident DJ at the Berghain club in Berlin in 2004. He subsequently founded the Klockworks record label in 2006, which has featured releases by artists that include DVS1 and Etapp Kyle. His debut studio album, One, was released in 2009 on Ostgut Ton to critical acclaim. His other notable releases include the mixed compilations Berghain 04 (2010) and Fabric 66 (2012), as well as the double EP Phantom Studies, a collaboration with Marcel Dettmann released on January 27, 2017. He also developed the multi-sensory audiovisual project Photon, which debuted on April 30, 2017, at the Printworks club in London.
