Hank Marr, born on January 30, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio, was an American jazz musician known for his work on the Hammond B-3 organ. In 1958, he co-led a group with tenor saxophonist Rusty Bryant that toured for several years. Marr's early recordings included collaborations with notable musicians such as Freddie King and Wilbert Longmire. In the late 1960s, he performed in a duo with guitarist Floyd Smith in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Marr achieved minor chart success with singles like "The Greasy Spoon" (1964), which reached number 101 in the US charts and "Silver Spoon" (1965), which reached number 134. His notable albums include On and Off Stage (1965) and Sounds from the Marr-Ket Place (1968). Hank Marr passed away on March 16, 2004.
