Antonio Carmine Di Bartolomeo, known professionally as Tony Di Bart, was born on 24 August 1964 in Slough, England, and pursued a career as a pop vocalist of Italian descent. His early years saw the collaborative production of the debut single "The Real Thing" with Andy Blissett, initially issued as a blue-marble vinyl maxi and a vinyl single only in the United Kingdom; the track failed to chart until a remixed version by The Joy Brothers was released in April 1994, when it entered the UK charts and later reached number one, prompting a European release that entered the German charts in June 1994. The follow-up single "Do It" climbed to number 21 in the United Kingdom. Subsequent releases such as "Why Did Ya" (1995), "Turn Your Love Around" (1996), and a 1998 remix of "The Real Thing" achieved only modest, short-lived chart positions. His sole studio album, Falling for You (1996), compiled the first four charting singles and four additional tracks.
