Jon Gomm is an English singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist born on July 11, 1977, in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. He began playing the ukulele at age two and started classical guitar lessons at age four. Gomm attended the Guitar Institute in London and later studied jazz at Leeds College of Music. He released his debut album Hypertension in 2003, followed by Don't Panic in 2009. In 2013, Gomm released the album Secrets Nobody Keeps, which was entirely crowd-funded and reissued in 2021 with an updated version of the song "Passionflower" as a bonus track. "Passionflower" gained significant attention after being tweeted by Stephen Fry in 2012, leading to numerous television appearances and international tours. Gomm performed at various festivals including Download and Electric Picnic, and toured extensively across the UK and internationally. Other notable releases include the studio album The Faintest Idea (2020) and the singles "Message in a Bottle" (2011), "Ain't Nobody" (2011), and "Cocoon" (2020).
