Mauro Remiddi, born in 1972 in Rome, Italy, is an Italian composer and musician who adopted the moniker Porcelain Raft for an alternative rock project. Remiddi composed the music for the short film La Matta dei Fiori (1997), which won the David di Donatello award for best short film. In 1999, he performed his own composition at La Mama Theatre in New York as part of the show Vaudeville 2000. After relocating to the United Kingdom, he collaborated with video artist Ra Di Martino, composing music for and appearing in the videos Not 360, Night Walker, and August 2008. In 2003, he formed the duo Three Blind Mice with Onyee Lo, which evolved into the band Sunny Day Sets Fire in 2005. He also contributed vocals to the song “Somewhere at Sea” on the 2008 album Nonsense in the Dark by the band Filthy Dukes. Under the moniker Porcelain Raft, his releases include the EP Gone Blind (2010) and the debut album Strange Weekend (2012).
