The Narrative, an American indie rock band from Long Island, New York, was formed in 2007 by Jesse Gabriel and Suzie Zeldin. The duo met through a Craigslist advertisement and began their musical journey under the name January Window before changing it to The Narrative. Their debut EP, Just Say Yes, was released independently in 2008, featuring the popular song "Eyes Closed", which garnered over four million views on YouTube. The band's self-titled debut album followed in 2010, produced by Bryan Russell. Notable songs from this period include "Silence and Sirens" and their EPs Nothing Without You (2010) and Kickstarter EP (2011). The band released a follow-up compilation album, B-Sides and Seasides, online in 2012. Their second studio album, Golden Silence, was released in 2016.
