Shakin' Street is a French hard rock band from Paris, formed in 1975 by guitarist Éric Lévi and vocalist Fabienne Shine. Initially named Speedball, the group also included guitarist Louis Bertignac and bassist Corine Marienneau. The band changed its name to Shakin' Street after being baptized by Marc Zermati at the first punk festival of Mont-de-Marsan in August 1976. Their debut album, Vampire Rock, was released in February 1978. In 1979, the group toured the United States, supporting acts including Blue Öyster Cult, Cheap Trick, Pat Travers, Journey, and AC/DC. Guitarist Ross the Boss joined the band during a 1980 tour with Black Sabbath, and their second album, Solid as a Rock, was released in March 1980. The group disbanded in 1981, but resumed activity in 2004 and again in 2007. Subsequent releases include the albums 21st Century Love Channel (2009), Psychic (2014), and Scarlet - The Old Waldorf, August 1979 (2024), as well as the DVD Live in the 21st Century (2011). In 2019, the group undertook a French reunion tour called The Shakin' Street' Magic Tour.
