Thelumusa Samuel Owen, known professionally as Tellaman, was born on April 12, 1991, in Durban, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. He began his musical journey at a young age, influenced by his mother's encouragement to sing at home and church. At fifteen, Tellaman decided to pursue music professionally. Tellaman's breakthrough came with the release of Ntsikelelo, an album that included hit singles "Drinks and Music" featuring Okmalumkoolkat and "Intoxicated" featuring Lastee. The album achieved gold status. In June 2016, he released his EP Mind Vs Heart. Tellaman signed with Universal Music South Africa in May 2018 and released "No Sharing" as his first official single under the label. His fourth album, God Decides, was released on February 1, 2019.
