Eastmountainsouth was an American pop rock duo formed in 1999, composed of vocalists Kat Maslich-Bode and Peter Bradley Adams. The duo released its self-titled debut album, Eastmountainsouth, on June 17, 2003, after signing with DreamWorks Records. Several of the group's songs appeared in films and television episodes, including a cover of Stephen Foster's “Hard Times (Come Again No More)” on the soundtrack for the film Elizabethtown, “So Are You to Me” in the movie Lucky 7 and the television series Alias, “You Dance” in One Tree Hill, “Ghost” in Dawson's Creek, and “All the Stars” in Smallville. In 2003, the pair opened for Lucinda Williams, Tracy Chapman, and Nelly Furtado. The duo disbanded in 2004, with both members subsequently releasing solo work.
