Rocco Rampino, known professionally as Congorock, is an Italian electronic music producer and DJ. Born July 4, 1983 in Lecce, Italy, Rampino relocated to Los Angeles in 2007, where he collaborated with The Bloody Beetroots on the single “Rombo” (2008). He released the debut EP Runark (2009), establishing a dance-punk foundation. In 2010, the track “Babylon” entered several Ministry of Sound compilations and received remixes by artists including Proxy and Steve Angello. In 2011, the producer released the single “Sirius” with Alle Benassi, which appeared on the soundtrack of the film Chronicle (2012). Rampino joined Rihanna on her 777 Tour in 2012, and released the single “Bless Di Nation” featuring Sean Paul and Stereo Massive that same year. Subsequent releases include “Monolith/Agarta” (2012) and the Nom De Strip collaboration “Minerals” (2013). Collaborations with Daddy's Groove on “Synthemilk” (2014) and Mindshake on “Nok Nok” (2015) expanded the musician's discography. Over his career, the artist contributed remixes for musicians such as Zedd, Laidback Luke, and Zeds Dead under the Ultra Records label.
