Morifade was a Swedish power metal band formed in 1992 in Linköping, Sweden. The group was established under the name Gothic by the musicians Jesper Johansson, Fredrik Johansson, and Kim Arnell. They were joined by the bassist Henrik Weimedal before the vocalist Christian Stinga-Borg joined in 1996 and the ensemble adopted the name Morifade. Their early recordings include the EP Across the Starlit Sky (1998) and the debut album Possession of Power (1999). Their discography includes the EP Cast a Spell (2000) and the recording Imaginarium (2002). The band signed with Candlelight Records for the release of the concept album Domi<>Nation (2004). The ensemble became inactive in 2004 before resuming activity in 2011 with the release of the album Empire of Souls (2011). The group became inactive again in 2015, and former members subsequently established the band Prime Creation.
