Feathers is the music project of Anastasia Dimou, formed in 2011 in Austin, Texas, after Dimou moved there from New York. The project has featured various musicians over the years, including Courtney Voss, Kathleen Carmichael, Christine Aprile, Drew Citron, Alex Gehring, and Jordan Johns. They began attracting attention through live performances and festival appearances, including SXSW Music Festival, Fun Fun Fun Fest, Austin Psych Fest, and The Great Escape Festival. In January 2013, the project was featured as The Guardian’s New Band of the Day. The Los Angeles Times also named them one of the discoveries of SXSW 2013. Their debut studio album, If All Now Here, was released in 2013. The album was mixed by Steven DePalo and mastered by Howie Weinberg, with two tracks produced by Brian Foote. That same year, Feathers’ song “Dark Matter” appeared on Radio Mirror Park in Grand Theft Auto V. They were also selected by Depeche Mode to open their SXSW performances in 2013 and selected dates of their 2014 European tour. In 2014, they released the Only One EP, along with the single “Soft.”
