Lovesliescrushing, an American ambient and shoegaze band from East Lansing, Michigan, was formed in 1991 by Scott Cortez and Melissa Arpin-Duimstra. The duo released their debut album Bloweyelashwish on the Lullaby label in 1992, followed by a reissue through Projekt Records in 1994 alongside the single "Youreyesimmaculate". Their subsequent release, Xuvetyn (1996), was noted for its experimental approach. Between 1996 and 2002, Cortez pursued other projects such as Astrobrite and Transient Stellar. Lovesliescrushing returned in 2002 with the albums Glissceule and Voirshn, followed by Chorus in 2007 and its reworked version CRWTH (Chorus Redux) in 2010. The band released several more albums, including Shiny Tiny Stars and Glinter in 2012, and a split album with Fiorella16 titled Extrañas Letanías in 2020.
