Philippe Corticchiato, also known as Philippe Corti, was born on October 5, 1958, in Millau, and is a French DJ and actor. After studying law briefly, he started his career as a record store clerk in 1979 before transitioning to professional roles in clubs in 1981. His breakthrough came with the opening of La Scatola in Port-Camargue in 1985. His unique music selection gained significant attention. In 1986, he moved to Paris and opened Le Distriko, a celebrity hotspot. He collaborated with Thierry Ardisson on television shows like Bains de minuit. His career included notable stints at clubs like Queen in Paris and Papagayo in Saint-Tropez. In 2003, he released his debut album, Un Dur, Un Vrai, Un Tatoué, featuring interpretations of post-war French chansons by artists such as Fernandel and Maurice Chevalier. In 2005, he became the music host for Intervilles on France 2, continuing on France 3 from 2006 to 2008, although he was replaced by his assistant, Matthieu Allard, during part of the 2008 season after fracturing his ribs.
