Miladin Šobić, born on January 7, 1956, in Nikšić, SFR Yugoslavia, is a Montenegrin musician songwriter who began writing lyrics and composing songs during high school. In 1975, he released his first single "To sam ja / Zazvoni zvono". "To sam ja" became popular among college students in Dubrovnik. The following year, Šobić won second place at the Omladina Festival with "Daj nam neba". He received the Best Lyrics award for "Bolesno ljeto" at the Belgrade Spring music festival in 1978. Collaborating with pianist Gabor Lenđel and studio musicians, he released two albums: Ožiljak in 1981 and Umjesto gluposti in 1982. Šobić decided to leave the music industry following his sister's death and did not resume his musical career despite frequent rumors of a comeback. In 2016, he was awarded the July 13th award, Montenegro's highest national honor.
