Electrocute, eine amerikanisch-deutsche Rockband, wurde 2002 von Nicole Morier und Mia Dime gegründet. Die Gruppe entstand aus der pulsierenden Elektropop/Electroclash-Szene in Berlin. Ihre ersten Veröffentlichungen waren die EP A Tribute to Your Taste (2003) und das Album Troublesome Bubblegum (2004). Nach dem Ausstieg von Dime tourte Morier weiter mit Holly Doll. Das Duo spielte 2005 auf namhaften Festivals wie Big Day Out und lernte DJ Mindy alias Legs Le Brock kennen. 2004 steuerte Electrocute den Song "Bikini Bottom" zum Soundtrack des SpongeBob Schwammkopf-Films bei. Ihr Song "Kleiner dicker Junge" (2004) wurde 2005 in dem Film The Beat That My Heart Skipped verwendet. Die Band veröffentlichte dann die EP On the Beat (2008) mit Junkie XL und das Album Double Diamond (2009) exklusiv in Japan. Außerdem wirkten sie an Soundtracks für das Videospiel FIFA 09 und die Fernsehsendung Guida astrologica per cuori infranti mit.
