Eduardo Capetillo Vázquez, also known as Eduardo Capetillo, was born on April 13, 1970, in Mexico City, and is a Mexican singer and actor. He began his career at a young age, participating in courses with actress Martha Zabaleta and jazz training at Televisa's center of qualification. His breakthrough came when he won second place at the Juguemos a Cantar festival with "Mi grupo toca Rock" released by Orfeón Records. In 1986, he joined Timbiriche, replacing Benny Ibarra, and contributed to successful albums such as Timbiriche VI, Timbiriche VII, Timbiriche VIII, and Timbiriche IX. He sang notable solos like "No seas tan cruel", "Todo Cambia" and "Con todos menos conmigo". In 1989, he left Timbiriche to pursue a solo career. His first solo album was the soundtrack for the telenovela Alcanzar una estrella, which sold over a million copies in 1991. He released several albums, including Dame Una Noche (1991), Aquí Estoy (1992), and Piel Ajena (1995). The success of the telenovela El Secreto led him to return to recording, resulting in an album produced by Chacho Gaytán. The album featured “El Secreto”, the telenovela’s theme song, and in 2003 he also performed a song for the television series Bajo la misma piel.
