Arturo Huidobro “Artdob” is a rapper, singer, songwriter and composer. Born in the massive metropolis of Mexico City, he emigrated to Melbourne Australia at a young age, where he spent 8 years of his life and found his musical calling.
Coming from a bohemian family, music always came very natural to Artdob. At the age of 7, and without taking but a single piano lesson, he would sit down and play simple but beautiful melodies, impressing friends and family at dinner parties.
Artdob developed a deep passion for electronic music in his teens where he started DJing and producing EDM. He would then discover his voice had a very special texture that people seemed to respond to, which is why he started incorporating catchy vocal melodies and smart lyrics to his productions, that is now what makes his sound so unique.
Artdob’s versatility as an artist started pulling the attention of Mexico’s music scene. When he was contacted by DJ/Producer and CEO of XDM Records “Broz Rdz” to start writing and co-producing with several artists of the label.
