KillaBeatMaker (Hilder Brando) is a DJ & Producer from Medellín, Colombia. In addition, he is known as the frontman & MC/singer of RADIOCALIENTE, Latin Grammy nominated audio engineer and a producer of several artists of urban Colombian music.
As a DJ|Producer, he draws his inspiration from the afro-Colombian rhythms and the music of Valle de Aburrá, his home region, mixed with deep bass sounds and urban beats. He loves collaborating with different artists from Colombia as well as around the world. Fauna is his debut EP as a DJ|Producer and it will be released in February 2019.
KillaBeatMaker is a popular DJ in the Medellín’s music scene and besides Colombia, he has toured in Europe 2018 (18 shows in 7 different European countries) including the shows at Helsinki Festival (FI), Kaustinen Folk Music Festival (FI), Refufest (CZ), La Regla in Berlin, Pontoon in Budapest and Fania Live in Vienna.
In addition, he has toured with his live band, RADIOCALIENTE e.g. in Colombia (Altavoz 2016), Chile (Imesur 2017), Peru, US (SXWX 2017) and shared the stage with artists like Bomba Estéreo, ChocQuibTown, La Mala Rodríguez, Monsieur Periné, El Freaky Colectivo and Cultura Profetica.
RADIOCALIENTE is one of the promising urban bands from Medellín mixing different Colombian and Latin styles with hip-hop and pop. KillaBeatMaker has composed and produced most of the band’s (25) released songs including the album “El ritmo de la calle”, which was selected in several Spotify playlists both in South America and Spain.
Moreover, KillaBeatMaker works with different fields of music business. As a producer and recording engineer he has collaborated with many well-known Latin artists and worked on Latin Grammy nominated album (Dontetto/dontetto 2014) with one of the most important Latin producer Toby Tobón (Juanes, Andres Cepeda and Sebastian Yatra producer). He has taught audio techniques at University EAS in Medellín, is a director board member of the Colombian author right association ACINPRO and a music supervisor at the audio game agency Zenith Infinitive.
