Les Enfants de DAGON produce a distressing dark music with a dense multi-layered black
orchestration. Their musical inspiration is a mix between Death, Black and Doom Metal.
The idea of the band is to create a journey with a story inspired by H.P. Lovecraft novel around the sea deity Dagon in lineage of several Death Metal & Black Metal band of the 90’s.
The story of this first album takes place in the 1920’s, the main character is Pierre Duval, a catholic priest born from his French mother and his American father. Feeling that he didn’t belong in France, he decided to exil in the USA with the help of the Catholic community which offers him the pastoral charge of the port city of Innsmouth.
Once installed, he is discovering several strange things happening in the city, especially people secretly praying a strong divinity !
He wants to learn more about this secret society called Esoteric Order of Dagon…
As songs progress, we learn more about characters of the story and religious behaviours of Innsmouth folks.
To extend the story of the album, the band has produced an original book Novel written in French, which takes place after the end of the album. We follow a young inspector, M. Howard, investigating on the death of a young lady and a missing priest in the city of Innsmouth. The book is available on Les Enfants de DAGON Bandcamp page.
