YASE is a Zambian hiphop and afropop artist, she was born and raised in the Capital city, Lusaka. A singer and rapper based in Lusaka.
Mayase Chishimikwa, who goes by YASE aka "the realest" was born on December 19th, 2002. She started her musical journey in 2020, the year after she completed her high school making rap videos and freestyles. She released her first single titled "Ni Mulilo" on the 5th of June in 2024 and thats when her music was really set on GO!
"I started my career singing and rapping and now i keep it alternative and groovy."
She explains her music in a way that she has always found it easier to communicate with people and to her audience through her sound, and lyrical content. Making music that is relatable to many and and enjoyable still.
