Lola Astanova, born Лола Астанова on July 3, 1985, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is an American pianist known for her interpretations of Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninov. Her musical journey began at age six with piano lessons. By eight, Astanova debuted as a concertist with Bach's Concerto No. 5 in F Minor. She won the International Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in Moscow in 1996 and was recognized by UNESCO in 1998. Moving to the United States in 2003, she made her debut at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2004. Notable performances include appearances with Valery Gergiev and the Orchestra of the Kirov Theatre in 2007, a benefit concert at Carnegie Hall in 2012, and playing "We Are the Champions" in 2019. Astanova also released the album Für Elise in 2018.
