Irmãs de Pau

Irmãs de Pau is a bold Brazilian baile funk duo from São Paulo, formed by Vita Pereira and Isma Almeida—two trans artists who met in 2015 during student protests and began creating music together during the pandemic. They debuted in 2021 with the feminist-radical album Dotadas, spotlighting their fierce sound, and followed in 2022 with the underground smash single “Shambaralai,” which cemented their status in São Paulo’s queer electronic clubs. In 2023, their collaboration “Cussy” with Mc Luanna became another fierce anthem. In 2024, they released Gambiarra Chic, Pt. 1, featuring defiant tracks like “Posturadas” and the CyberKills remix of “Shambaralai.” Building on that momentum, 2025 saw the arrival of Gambiarra Chic, Pt. 2 and its lead single “QUEMANDO ICE” (feat. Duquesa and producer Brunoso), which surged across streaming platforms, remixes, and dance circles, signaling their rise on the global queer electronic stage.
