Nathy Peluso is the stage name of Argentine-Spanish singer Natalia Peluso, born on January 12, 1995, in Luján, Buenos Aires. Known for her eclectic blend of hip-hop, R&B, and Latin music, she moved to Spain at age nine, first settling down in Alicante. During her teenage years, she performed classic songs by Frank Sinatra, Etta James, and Nina Simone in hotels and restaurants. Her career took off with the independent release of her EP Esmeralda in October 2017, featuring the single "Corashe." This caught the attention of critics and music magazines. In 2018, she released another EP, La Sandunguera, with Everlasting Records, spawning the singles "La Sandunguera" and "Estoy Triste." She toured extensively, performing over 100 concerts across Spain, Europe, and Latin America. In December 2019, Nathy Peluso signed with Sony Music Spain and released "Copa Glasé" as her first single under the label. Her debut studio album, Calambre, released in October 2020, was a commercial and critical success, peaking at number 5 on the PROMUSICAE album chart and winning Best Alternative Music Album at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards. During this time, she gained viral recognition by collaborating with Bizarrap on the producer's "Bzrp Music Sessions Vol. 36," which cracked the Top 5 of the Argentine Hot 100. In 2021, she featured on Christina Aguilera's "Pa Mis Muchachas" and Karol G's "Gato Malo" while showing her versatility on the salsa-tinged "Mafiosa" and the Camilo Sesto cover "Vivir Así es Morir de Amor." In 2022, she released "Emergencia" in collaboration with PlayStation, inspired by the game Horizon Forbidden West. Preceded by the single "Aprender a Amar," Nathy Peluso's second full-length album Grasa came out in 2024, featuring guest spots by Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso, C. Tangana, Duki, Lua de Santana, and Blood Orange.
