AUG 2022 HISTORY AT OUR DISPOSAL (HAOD) will release the first collection of songs since the acclaimed “Symbols in the Architecture” (Creative Capitalism) and subsequent hiatus in 2009. Jason Reimer, the multi-hyphenate driving the project has been an active member in the underground music scene since the early 00’s, producing and playing in various bands like BAPTIST GENERALS (Sub Pop Records) and the more recent DEF RAIN full length “EXIT” which he engineered and co-produced in 2020. Along with a fertile music discography scoring podcasts and films, he was also pursuing his own brand of filmmaking, directing short films and music videos for MIND SPIDERS and SARAH JAFFE among others. Reimer is also the creative director of the infamous TEXAS THEATRE in Dallas, famed for the arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald that re-launched in 2010. The varied output of HAOD seems to fit snugly into a dense catalog of work that often feels like an ongoing art installation rather than just a band, each release providing the mood to an ongoing narrative. By 2019 Reimer was living in Echo Park LA, but the following year found his creative outlets stunted and reached out to previous collaborators complete the record in Texas. The result “LOUNGE MUSIC” the forthcoming full length arriving in AUG 2022 via Talented Friends, mixed by grammy winner STUART SIKES (Cat Power, White Stripes) and mastered by MATT BARNHART (Superchunk, Facs, Bob Mould) of CHICAGO MASTERING SERVICE.
