Preceded by the hit singles “Back to the Streets” with Jhené Aiko” and “Tap In”, Saweetie’s studio debut Pretty Bitch Music arrived in 2021. “Best Friend,” one of the singles off the album featuring Doja Cat, spawned several successful remixes in both the US and Europe, reaching Number 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic chart as well as the German Singles Chart. That same year, Saweetie dropped an EP titled Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1 that included guest spots by Bbyafricka, Drakeo the Ruler, Jae, Lourdiz, and Loui. She released a number of standalone singles in 2023, too, including "Birthday" (a number 19 hit on Billboard's Rhythmic chart) and "Shot O'Clock."
