Hardline

Hardline, an American hard rock band formed in 1991, was created by brothers Johnny Gioeli and Joey Gioeli. The band initially included guitarist Neal Schon of Journey and Bad English, bassist Todd Jensen, and drummer Deen Castronovo. Their debut album Double Eclipse was released in April 1992, featuring tracks such as "Hot Cherie" and "Takin' Me Down", which received extensive radio airplay. The band toured with artists like Mr. Big and Extreme but disbanded in late 1992. Hardline reunited in the late 1990s, releasing their second album II in September 2002. The band continued to evolve through various line-up changes, releasing albums Leaving the End Open (April 2009), Danger Zone (May 2012), Human Nature (October 2016) and Life (April 2019). Johnny Gioeli remains the only original member of Hardline, which released the albums Heart, Mind and Soul (July 2021) and Shout (April 2026).
