Biografia

One of the most popular French artists in the urban genre, Kevin Bonnet (January 31, 1983), aka Keen’V, made a name for himself with his vibrant mix of dancehall, ragga, and electro pop, which often featured sexually explicit lyrics. Born in Rouen, Normandy, he kicked off his music career in 2005 through a partnership with singer-songwriter Fab’V, with whom he penned the songs “Loco la Salsa” and “Soca Soca Te Quiero.” He quickly became a staple of the local club scene while simultaneously uploading original material to his video streaming channel, garnering the attention of Universal Music. Phenom’N, his first album for the label, arrived in 2008 and spawned the singles “À l’horizontale,” “Jeux sensuels,” and “Mytho.” In 2011, Keen’V hit the jackpot with the summer anthem “J’Aimerais trop,” which went to Number 3 in France and propelled its parent album Carpe Diem to Number 9. After dropping his 2012 platinum-selling album La Vie Est Belle, Keen’V went on a hot streak of Number 1 records that made waves in the French dance music scene, including Ange ou Démon (2013), Saltimbanque (2014), Là Où le Vent Me Mène (2015), and 7 (2017). Preceded by the singles “Fuck Keen’V,” “J’courais,” and “Laisse-les parler,” his eighth album Thérapie saw the light in 2019. After cancelling the second leg of the Thérapie tour due to a lack of spectators, Keen’V returned in 2021 with the album Rêver, which featured special appearances by DJ Florum ("Ça résonne") and Magic System ("Quoi qu'il arrive").
