Craig Mack was an American rapper who prospered in the 1990s through associations with Sean Combs and Notorious B.I.G.. His single 'Flava in Ya Ear', a remix of an earlier Combs track, topped Billboard's Hot Rap Songs Chart, went to number four on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart and number nine on the Hot 100 in 1994. The album on which it appeared, 'Project: Funk Da World' peaked at number six on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

Born in New Jersey, he released a single as a teenager before he met Combs who offered him his first contract on the Bad Boy label. 'Get Down', another single from the 'Project: Funk' album, went to number 17 on the Hip-Hop Songs Chart and number 38 on the Hot 100. His 1997 release 'Operation: Get Down' went to number 17 on the Hip-Hop Albums Chart with 'What I Need' reaching number 55 on the Hip-Hop Songs Chart.

He featured on the Veronica single 'No One But You' which reached number 43 on the Hip-Hop Songs Chart in 1997 and on 'Spirit' with Sounds of Blackness which peaked at number 29 in the same year. He continued to perform based out of South Carolina and in 2002 he appeared on Combs's album 'We Invented the Remix' topping the Billboard 200 and making number two on the Hip-Hop Albums Chart. He died of heart failure aged 47 in 2018.
