Peter Kent

Peter Kent, born Peter Hedrich on September 9, 1948, in Herten, Germany, is a singer known for his contributions to Middle of the Road and Pop music. He began his career with a group named Six de conduits before transitioning into musical theater, touring with ensembles from productions like Hair, Godspell, and Jesus Christ Superstar. In 1975, Kent joined the vocal group Love Generation, which achieved notable success with their song "Hör’ wieder Radio" in the German selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. After leaving the group, Kent embarked on a solo career in late 1979, achieving significant chart success with his debut single "It’s a Real Good Feeling", which reached Number 1 on the German charts and sold over 750,000 copies. This was followed by other top-20 hits including "You’re All I Need," which charted at number 15, 19 and 13 respectively. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Kent collaborated with Spanish singer Luisa Fernandez, producing hits like "Solo por ti", "Con esperanza", and "Y tu". In addition to his solo work, Kent produced music for other artists such as José Feliciano and Geier Sturzflug, later releasing new versions of his old songs, including a collaboration with Antonio Di Natale on "Summertwist" in 2013.
