Video Kids were a Dutch electronic music duo consisting of Peter Slaghuis and Bianca Bonelli. Formed in 1984, the group was known for their unique blend of synth-pop and disco, with a distinctive animated mascot named Tico Tac. Their breakthrough came with the single "Woodpeckers from Space", which peaked at Number 14 place in the Dutch Top 40 and Number 17 in Ultratop 50 Flanders. The song was produced by Catapult musicians Aart Mol, Cees Bergman, Elmer Veerhoff, Erwin van Prehn, and Geertjan Hessing under the aliases "Adams & Fleisner" and "Tony Acardi." Following this success, Video Kids released their debut album The Invasion of the Spacepeckers in 1984, which went on to sell 1.1 million copies and earned them the RIAA Gold Record Award and Conamus Export Award. Their second album, On Satellite, was released in 1985. Notable singles from their discography include "Satellite", "Do The Rap", and "The Witch Doctor". Despite their popularity, Video Kids had a short-lived career, disbanding after the release of their second album. Peter Slaghuis later pursued a successful career as a DJ and remixer, while Bianca Bonelli released a solo single titled "Je Veux L'amour (Follow Me)".
