Biografia

One of the most successful German artists of all time, Helene Fischer rose to fame on the international stage in 2013 when her album Farbenspiel topped the charts in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria for several weeks, producing the powerhouse single "Atemlos Durch die Nacht." It went platinum several times over and also earned her the nickname of "The Queen of Schlager." She was born in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, on August 5, 1984, to German parents who moved the family to West Germany when Helene was three years old, and later studied singing and acting at the Frankfurt Stage & Musical School. While there, her mother recorded demos of her songs and sent them to record companies, which led to the start of her career. Fischer's first album, Von Hier Bis Unendlich, was released in in 2006.

She had already made her stage debut in 2005, singing with Florian Silbereisen — who later became her partner — and quickly achieved great popularity in the schlager genre, breaking into the German charts with her second album So Nah Wie Du in 2007. The single "So Wie Ich Bin" helped spread her popularity to other parts of Europe, and in 2010 she released her first English language album, The English Ones, which was followed by another major German hit single, "Für Einen Tag." Although she moved into acting with an appearance in the popular TV series Das Traumschiff, music remained at the forefront of Fischer's life, with 2013's chart-topping Farbenspiel becoming one of the best-selling German records in history. The multi-platinum albums Weihnachten (2015) and Helene Fischer (2017) climbed to Number 1 in both Germany and Austria, and Fischer returned in 2021 with "Vamos a Marte," a cross-cultural duet with Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. A Top 10 hit in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, "Vamos a Marte" doubled as the lead track from her ninth studio album.
